Privacy Policy

This policy explains what EzHookups collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be technically survivable.
What we collect
- Account details — the email address you sign up with, and a password stored as a salted hash. We never store your password in a readable form.
- Profile content — whatever you choose to publish: display name, age range, city, photos and biography. Everything in your profile is visible to other members.
- Messages — private messages are stored so they can be delivered and so they can be reviewed if someone reports them. They are not published anywhere.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and approximate location derived from IP, used for security, abuse prevention and distance matching.
What we do not do
We do not sell member data. We do not publish private messages. We do not share your exact location with other members — only an approximate distance.
Cookies
We set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a preferences cookie for things like your search radius. Analytics, where used, is configured to record aggregate traffic rather than individual browsing histories.
How long we keep it
Account and profile data is kept while the account is open. Delete your account and profile content is removed within 30 days, except where we are required to keep a limited record for safety or legal reasons. Abuse reports are retained longer so repeat patterns stay visible.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correction of anything inaccurate, or full deletion, by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or to complain to a supervisory authority.
Children
EzHookups is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, tell us immediately at [email protected] and it will be removed.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced on the site before they take effect.
