EzHookups responds to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Filing a notice
Send notices to [email protected]. A valid notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorised agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- The URL of the material you want removed, specific enough for us to locate it.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the owner.
What happens next
Valid notices are actioned promptly, usually within two working days. We notify the member who posted the material and tell them how to file a counter-notice.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address including your contact details, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly post infringing material are terminated.
Misuse
Knowingly filing a false notice carries liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please be sure before you file.
