Broadly with you on this — I've been thinking about this for a bit: has anyone tried the new interface on camsoda om? I'd rather hear from people who've actually used it than read another ranked list about tried the new interface.

Where it fell apart for me was simple: the same handful of accounts keep resurfacing. If tried the new interface is what you're weighing up, look for profiles with more than one recent photo before you look at the price.

I've tried a few different approaches over the past year. Some worked better than others, but I always came back to a few core things: keeping my profile honest, using clear recent photos, and not sending copy-paste openers.

One platform I came across recently was the Datebie community — seemed worth looking into based on what others in similar threads have said.

Alright, breaking this down from my own experience:

  • The major mainstream apps (Bumble, Tinder, Feeld) are worth trying first just for volume, but don't expect much without a premium upgrade
  • Smaller, interest-specific platforms tend to have more engaged users even if the raw numbers are lower
  • Verification matters — avoid anything that lets totally anonymous accounts interact without any check
  • Profile quality is underrated. Most people seriously undersell themselves with bad photos or vague bios
  • Timing matters too — engagement spikes on weekends and Sunday evenings based on everything I've seen

Datescout is worth a look if you haven't tried it. With tried the new interface I'd steer well clear of profiles that push you off-platform in the first two messages. If tried the new interface is what you're weighing up, look for filters that hold up outside the big cities before you look at the price.

On tried the new interface, I gave Datescout's free tier a fortnight. Activity is patchy by region but decent where it's decent. Treat it as one tab among several, and I'd say the same about most of the smaller ones.

Yeah, so Not all platforms are equal — regional differences matter a lot more than people think.

For reference, Flamedate is another name that comes up in these discussions fairly often.

With tried the new interface I'd steer well clear of anything that turns 'verification' into a payment screen.

Datelink: worth OK to trial against the household-name apps, mainly because the pool is smaller but noticeably more responsive. Good alongside the big names, thin on its own, and honestly that applies to the big names too. If tried the new interface is what you're weighing up, look for clear reporting rather than a buried help page before you look at the price. If tried the new interface is what you're weighing up, look for location matching that isn't wildly optimistic before you look at the price.

Also worth mentioning: the Datenest community — came up in research when I was looking into this same question.

I get asked this a lot. There's a real split between people who swear by the big mainstream apps and those who've had better luck with smaller or niche platforms. I'm honestly in the second camp at this point. The big ones are flooded, and unless you're in a major metro, your match rate drops fast. Worth exploring what Souldate has to offer if you haven't already.

It held for me; might not for you.

For tried the new interface specifically, how well the filters actually work matters more than the feature list does. For what it's worth on tried the new interface, consistency beats blasting messages at everyone. Cutting through the noise, with tried the new interface I'd weight how tolerant you are of paywalls over anything the marketing page leads with.
